An evening with Charlie Landsborough

PopStar! The Musical - Charity Preview Night
The PopStar! tour launches with a bang in Kettering in association with Air Ambulance. The exclusive first night of this fantastic musical play that takes a hilarious look at the phenomena of modern day talent shows promises to be a guaranteed great night out…and it’s all for a good cause! The all star cast includes Sam Kane, Anthony Costa, John Altman, Rob McVeigh, Sarah Jane Buckley and Ciara Janson. The tour returns to the Lighthouse in July.

Strictly Swing featuring the Jazz Belles
Set in a smoky New York bar this show is an upbeat celebration of swing and encapsulates music of legendary artists such as Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Bing Crosby.
Led by a superb cast of West End Singers, supported by the glamorous musical sextet the Jazz Belles the show has something for everyone.
This is the UK Tour Preview night and a contribution from all ticket sales will go to a local charity.

The Manfreds
Let ‘Em Roll
The Manfreds, with original ‘front man’ Paul Jones, will be performing many of their hits along with a mix of Jazz and Blues songs from some of their best-known albums.
Paul Jones, with his unique harmonica sound, will be joined by Mike Hugg on keyboards, Tom McGuinness on lead guitar, Rob Townsend on drums, Marcus Cliffe on bass guitar and Simon Currie on saxophone/ flute. All excellent musicians who will provide a full evenings entertainment with a few ‘surprise’ renditions of their work, not only with The Manfreds, but with their individual connections.

Kettering Operatic Society invites you to Broadway!
You may only have just put your dance shoes away after the last series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ but you’ll want to get them out again, once you’ve been dazzled by Kettering Operatic Society’s production of ‘42nd Street’.
The story is set in 1933, when a young Peggy Sawyer embarks on a whirlwind romance with Broadway in New York. After missing her first audition, she somehow manages to gain a place in the chorus. But then opportunity knocks when the leading lady breaks her leg. In just 36 hours, Peggy learns 25 pages, six songs and ten dance numbers and becomes an overnight star. Come along and join Peggy on her journey.

All England Masters International Brass Band Championship & Gala
Kettering is hosting The All England Masters International Brass Band Championship & Gala for the first time. The top Brass Bands in England as well as a selection of exciting bands from overseas come together to battle it out in order to be crowned Champion. This competition promises to provide an enthralling day of aural delight for all. The winners of the day perform a fabulous Gala concert in the evening - the highlight of the day.

Alan Price Set
