The Big Band Night will be performances from the top three County Youth Big Bands. (County Youth Big Band, Jazz 2 and Jazz 3) The music will be jazz ranging in era from 40’s to now! The students performing will range in age from 11 - 19 years old, and are drawn from all parts of the county.

The Virtuosi GUS Band & Youth Brass 2000
The Midlands and Northamptonshire’s finest brass bands will be joining forces to perform a Brass Extravaganza not to be missed.
The Virtuosi GUS band which hails from Kettering has consistently performed at the very highest levels since its inception from a Kettering based shoe manufacturer in the 1930’s. The band is the current Midland Champion. Joining the GUS band for the evening will be Youth Brass 2000, which hails from Wilbarston Village and have gained an unenviable reputation for musical excellence since its formation.
This concert will feature traditional concert programmes from both bands.

Fiddler on the Roof Presented

Following the success of ‘Beauty and The Beast’ and ‘42nd Street’ Kettering Operatic Society present ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ to the Lighthouse Stage in 2012.
A timeless classic of a show, with plenty of well-known tunes such as ‘If I Were a Rich Man’ and ‘Sunrise, Sunset’, ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ is a window into the history of the Russian Jewish pogroms. The West End Production famously starred Topol in the lead role of Tevye.
Director Ray Jefferies brings to the production his wealth of knowledge on the customs and cultures in which this historic show is set. So as well as being entertaining, great fun to be in, and a real ‘company show’, you get an education too!

This exceptional international event returns to the Lighthouse Theatre for it’s third consecutive year. The championship will see 20 of the world’s finest brass bands compete for the Masters title. Sleeping Beauty Ballet

The world famous Russian State Ballet and Opera House® dates back to 1958. After its foundation the theatre rapidly developed its broad repertoire which now includes world’s famous masterpieces in field of opera and ballet.
The timeless classic of Sleeping Beauty is performed to the score of Pyotr I. Tchaikovsky. The original choreography of Petipa includes the most magical fairy tale characters which bring to life this spectacular ballet.
Princes Aurora is at the centre of a grand christening celebration where she is granted gifts from her fairy godmothers - the gifts of honesty, beauty, prosperity, song and generosity. The ceremony is interrupted by the unwanted wicked fairy Carabosse who puts a curse on the young princess; she will prick her finger and die on her sixteenth birthday.
Fortunately, Lilac fairy has not yet presented her christening gift and she manages to minimise the curse where the princess avoids the death but instead falls into long, deep sleep of hundred years long. Only a magical, true love kiss from a Prince can break the spell and awake our princess ….
