The Lighthouse theatre opened in May 2008 and is located at Kettering Conference Centre one of the premier conference venues in the East Midlands.
This is a superb venue that has all the magnificence and splendor of a traditional theatre combined with the contemporary style and features of a modern, state-of-the-art auditorium.
Recently completed, the Lighthouse has taken just over a year and £2M to build.
Finished to the highest standards this modern auditorium has 424 tiered seats at ground floor level and a further 143 in the balcony with six private boxes.
The stage is 12 metres deep and there is an orchestra pit, sound control room and five backstage dressing rooms. It is ideal for all types of performances - music, drama, dance and comedy.
The Lighthouse bar is off the main foyer and is perfect for pre-show drinks and refreshments. Upstairs is the attractive and modern Bridge bar with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the concourse.
Our Lighthouse bar is open Monday to Friday from 12.00midday to 10pm for drinks and light refreshments. Both the Lighthouse and the Bridge bars will be open on performance nights and confectionary and ice cream will be available.
Hospitality is available on request for groups of 20 or more. Being directly linked to the conference centre means that we can provide you with hospitality packages for entertaining your business clients or for private celebrations followed by a show.
For smaller groups we have six private boxes.
The theatre was built by Phoenix Leisure Management who own and run the complex. They received a capital contribution of £250k toward the build cost from Kettering Borough Council and receive an annual grant of £30k from the Council to support its use by community groups and for community purposes.
The Lighthouse has free car parking for 600 cars. There is level access into the building and the auditorium and lift access to the balcony on level two. The auditorium has wheelchair spaces on both levels and the box office can advise on the best location within the auditorium for each show according to your particular requirements. There are also accessible toilet facilities on each level.
Guide, hearing and enabling dogs are welcome. If you wish to take them into the auditorium please let the Box Office know when booking so that suitable seats can be allocated.
We are keen to make your experience an enjoyable one – please advise us of your needs at the time of booking and we will do everything we can to facilitate your requirements.
